Frequently Asked Questions:

  • How do I place and order? Send an email including your desired products to orders@omexcanada.com and one of our team members will be happy to assist you.
  • Who should I contact if I need clear indication on how to use OMEX products? Fill out the “contact us” form on our website or reach out to your local representative in your area.
  • Can OMEX products be used in organic production? Some of our products are certified for use in organic production.
  • Can I store OMEX products outside? It is best to keep the products indoors in a heated storage facility. Contact your local OMEX representative should you not have access to heated storage.
  • Can I mix OMEX products with other fertilizers or pesticides or do I need an extra pass? OMEX products are tank mixable with other liquid fertilizers. Avoid mixing calcium products with phosphate or sulfate. Avoid mixing products in concentrate forms. Always mix products in water. Most OMEX product are tank mixable with pesticides (herbicides, fungicides, insecticides). Check for compatibility or contact your OMEX representative for more information.
  • Are OMEX products liquid or dry? The large majority of OMEX products are liquid, however, we also carry soluble powders for greenhouses, hydroponics , and turf.
  • What do I do with the empty jugs of OMEX product? OMEX is a member of CleanFarms. Drop off your empty jugs at your nearest AG Retail location, where they will be collected and recycled.
  • Can OMEX products be used as Foliars for top dressing? OMEX products include several categories: PRIMERS that are used to treat the seed; STARTERS that are placed in-furrow with the seed; FOLIARS that can be used in-crop to top dress, supplement nutrients or correct deficiencies; and various additives to condition the water or treat dry fertilizer. Additionally can be used to supplement a well-balanced fertility program.
  • When can I apply Primers on the seed? OMEX Primers can be applied on the seed before storage in the bin, in the fall, or prior to seeding in the spring. Avoid treating right in the hopper, especially when humidity is high in the spring.
  • What OMEX products can I use as a FOLIAR to top dress my crop during herbicide time? Use the Stress Reliever family of products: C3 & Nutriboost for all crops and P3 or Zintake+SR specifically for pulse crops.
  • What OMEX products can I use as a FOLIAR to top dress my crop during fungicide time? Use the uPtaKe IC family of products including: uPtaKe IC 13-7-4; uPtaKe IC 5-25-5 or uPtaKe IC 8-32-5. If the fungicide is applied around flowering time, it is highly recommended to include products like Super B or KB78.
  • What product is best suited to protect canola from aborting its flowers when dealing with extreme heat and humidity? Use Super B or KB78.
  • I am getting Ergot in my field, what can I do? This is most likely due to low copper levels across the field. Call your OMEX representative to discuss solutions addressing copper deficiency.
  • What are some popular nutrients that OMEX sells? OMEX provides all essential nutrients required to grow crops – offered as single elements or as a mixture. Macronutrients such as: Nitrogen, Phosphorus, Potassium. Secondary nutrients such as: Calcium, Magnesium, Sulfur. Micronutrients such as: Zinc, Copper, Manganese, Iron, Chloride, Molybdenum, Cobalt, Nickel.
