Doug Grandel is coming to 10 years with OMEX after a successful career in the seed and Ag equipment industries. Doug lives on a homestead, which used to be a cattle farm. His knowledge about the industry and farming is vast. He combines that with a great sense of humor and dedication to his work. We wished that he told us that he was a die-hard Toronto Leaf’s fan at a start but we won’t hold that against him. In his spare time, Doug enjoys fishing and spending time with his family and grandchildren.

Tim Palmer has been with OMEX for over 10 years. Born and raised in Saskatchewan to a family deep rooted in farming, Tim was one the first farmers who tested OMEX products on their operation. He had a successful career at various retail and line companies before joining OMEX, earning him a trustworthy reputation in the industry and among farmers. If you are looking for agronomical advice and practical experience Tim is your guy. He is fun to be around and a great guy to enjoy a good laugh with.

Abdel ElHadrami has been with OMEX for over 10 years. He joined the company back in 2010 to spearhead the R&D Department. He is currently the CEO and R&D Director of the company. Abdel grew up on a mixed farm where his family grew and still grow cereals, corn and pulses. He became fascinated with plants and pathogens and how they interact with one another. Through deciphering the pathways involved during these interactions, Abdel quickly realized the importance that certain key nutrients play in keeping plants healthy and reducing the incidence of diseases. No wonder he is drawn to fertilizers and plant health! When he is not at work, Abdel likes to enjoy a good read, cook for friends and family or go for a long jog.

Neil joined the OMEX team in November 2020 as our corporate financial controller. Leading the Finance team, Neil is responsible for the delivery of finance services such as accounting, treasury, reporting, budgeting, and insurance management, in accordance with legislative requirements and organizational policies and strategies. Neil has also been appointed as HR and IT Manager to ensure OMEX HR and IT operations and facilities are well managed. Prior to joining OMEX, Neil held senior finance / IT combination roles specializing in a wide range of manufacturing environments. In his spare time, Neil enjoys cooking, scuba diving and travelling with his family.

This is Yuan Shuai, but everyone calls him Jonas.  Jonas joined OMEX in October as the newest member of the manufacturing facility crew. If you ever have the pleasure of meeting him, you will quickly notice that he is quite tall. Coincidentally, he happens to be a very good basketball and volleyball player! He’s a positive guy, always meeting you with a smile and is a great addition to our team.
